Liquor, Tobacco & Gifts

Of course, you shouldn't head home without taking some delicious and savory memories of your time in St. Maarten/Martin with you. You can choose from Dutch cheeses and chocolates, French wines and Champagnes, Caribbean rums and fiery island spices and much more.

Scattered throughout the island, the Shipwreck Shops offer everything from Antilles Spice Clipper sauces and spices to souvenirs, kitchen accessories, magazines and cookbooks and much more. Stores are located on Front Street, at the Philipsburg cruise ship pier (Harbour Village), at the Princess Julian International Airport and in Marigot. There are also shops in several of the island's resorts.

The Lucky Too Gift Shop next to the historic courthouse in Philipsburg offers a great variety of liquors, cigars (including the world-famous Habanos), T-shirts and souvenirs.

With several locations around the island, Caribbean Liquors & Tobacco first offers a huge variety of great products at low prices, including such top brands as Möet & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Krug champagnes, Baron de Rothschild, Grand Marnier and more.

One of the most truly emblematic beverages of our home is the Guavaberry liqueur, made right here in St. Maarten/Martin from the wild guavaberries that grow on our beautiful hills. Be sure and visit the Guavaberry Emporium on Front Street for a variety of these flavored beverages, as well as a complete line of Guavaberry products, cigars, colognes, T-shirts and more.

For the Antilles Spice Clipper line of Caribbean sauces, visit any one of the island's Lord and Hunter or Shipwreck Shops. You can also head to any of the Le Grand Marche supermarkets for a great selection of Gouda and other Dutch cheeses, chocolates, Caribbean spices and, of course, a large selection of French wines and Champagnes.

And for one of the island's largest selections of imported wines and Champagnes, be sure and visit Vinissimo in the French St. Martin town of Marigot. This renowned little wine shop is packed to the rafters with more than 300 vintages and thousands of bottles of wines from France, the United States and other countries.

For some of the island's best prices on just about everything, be sure and hit Duty Free Plaza on Front Street, whose wide selection of perfumes, luggage, liquors, tobacco, gold jewelry and designer sunglasses will surely please.

The best part of shopping in St. Maarten/Martin, of course, is the fact that everything is less expensive. But don't worry. If you've put off your shopping to the last minute, you can still rack up on duty-free merchandise at the numerous shops located in the Princess Juliana International Airport.

You can spend days shopping in St. Maarten/St. Martin and not visit the same store twice! So much to buy - so little time... visit our Shopping Guide and get full details about each merchant before you go. Print our shopping maps and take them with you.
